Reisdetails van Praag
Omschrijving:
Praag
Op 7 juni 2012 vertrok ik met een groep naar Praag met KLM. Vnaf de luchthaven is het een half uur naar het centrum van Praag waar we slapen in hotel Grand Majestic Plaza Prague, een goed 4 * hotel met op loopafstand winkels en bezienswaardigheden.
De dag van aankomst bezoeken we de 43 meter hoge Kruittoren, entree tot de oude stad en vroeger gebruikt als opslag van kruit. Verder het oude centrum met het stadhuis en de Tynkerk alsmede de Joodse wijk Josefov aan de noordzijde van het grote plein. De begraafplaats is imposant en is de oudste bestaande begraafplaats in Europa (1478-1786 totaal 100.000 mensen begraven) en ernaast ligt een museum en de Pinkas Synagoge waar de namen van 80.000 slachtoffers van de concentratiekampen staan genoteerd: indrukwekkend.
Verder natuurlijk een stop bij het stadsplein en de Astronomische klok, de bekendste plek van Praag. Elk uur openen de deuren zich en staan er rijen met mensen om het ritueel te aanschouwen.
We doen ook de Karelsbrug, nogal toeristisch met allerlei standjes vol prullaria met wel mooi zicht over de Moldau.
Op 8 juni gaan we naar de Praagse Burcht een groot paleizencomplex met Koninklijke tuinen. Daarnaast prachtig uitzicht over de stad en omgeving, omdat het hoog gelegen is.
De wisseling van de wacht is ook hier een spektakel. Het nabijgelegen Gouden Straatje met kleurrijke kleine huisjes en nu winkels is wel een must see.
Ook voor het uitzicht bezoeken we de Petrin toren die 60 meter hoog is en een kopie van de Eiffeltoren. Er is gelukkig een lift …
9 juni bezoeken we het centrum op eigen gelegenheid, de winkelstraten en het Wenceslasplein en het Dansen huis met een bijzondere bouwstijl .
Het aantal beelden in Praag is enorm, een van de bekendste is Pissing Man. Nader commentaar overbodig.
Op 10 juni vrije tijd, maar het regent dus de activiteiten zijn beperkt. Nog wat souvenirs inkopen, toch maar de Oude Raadhuistoren bezocht, ook hier mooi zicht op het centrum. daarna een van de vele terrassen op het plein aangedaan.
Omdat we ook vrije tijd hebben die wij zelf mogen invullen en niet alle maaltijden zijn inbegrepen, deze tips:
- restaurant La Boca, Truhlarska 1114 in de wijk Nove Mestro :een Zuid-Amerikaans restaurant met heerlijke Spaans getinte gerechten en wijnen
Conclusie: Praag is een heel mooie, interessante stad met veel bezienswaardige plekken en een goed sfeer. Het leuke centrum met veel terrassen, restaurants en de aangename prijzen hebben ons aangenaam verrast.

Reisdetails van Praag
Omschrijving:
Praag
Op 7 juni 2012 vertrok ik met een groep naar Praag met KLM. Vnaf de luchthaven is het een half uur naar het centrum van Praag waar we slapen in hotel Grand Majestic Plaza Prague, een goed 4 * hotel met op loopafstand winkels en bezienswaardigheden.
De dag van aankomst bezoeken we de 43 meter hoge Kruittoren, entree tot de oude stad en vroeger gebruikt als opslag van kruit. Verder het oude centrum met het stadhuis en de Tynkerk alsmede de Joodse wijk Josefov aan de noordzijde van het grote plein. De begraafplaats is imposant en is de oudste bestaande begraafplaats in Europa (1478-1786 totaal 100.000 mensen begraven) en ernaast ligt een museum en de Pinkas Synagoge waar de namen van 80.000 slachtoffers van de concentratiekampen staan genoteerd: indrukwekkend.
Verder natuurlijk een stop bij het stadsplein en de Astronomische klok, de bekendste plek van Praag. Elk uur openen de deuren zich en staan er rijen met mensen om het ritueel te aanschouwen.
We doen ook de Karelsbrug, nogal toeristisch met allerlei standjes vol prullaria met wel mooi zicht over de Moldau.
Op 8 juni gaan we naar de Praagse Burcht een groot paleizencomplex met Koninklijke tuinen. Daarnaast prachtig uitzicht over de stad en omgeving, omdat het hoog gelegen is.
De wisseling van de wacht is ook hier een spektakel. Het nabijgelegen Gouden Straatje met kleurrijke kleine huisjes en nu winkels is wel een must see.
Ook voor het uitzicht bezoeken we de Petrin toren die 60 meter hoog is en een kopie van de Eiffeltoren. Er is gelukkig een lift …
9 juni bezoeken we het centrum op eigen gelegenheid, de winkelstraten en het Wenceslasplein en het Dansen huis met een bijzondere bouwstijl .
Het aantal beelden in Praag is enorm, een van de bekendste is Pissing Man. Nader commentaar overbodig.
Op 10 juni vrije tijd, maar het regent dus de activiteiten zijn beperkt. Nog wat souvenirs inkopen, toch maar de Oude Raadhuistoren bezocht, ook hier mooi zicht op het centrum. daarna een van de vele terrassen op het plein aangedaan.
Omdat we ook vrije tijd hebben die wij zelf mogen invullen en niet alle maaltijden zijn inbegrepen, deze tips:
- restaurant La Boca, Truhlarska 1114 in de wijk Nove Mestro :een Zuid-Amerikaans restaurant met heerlijke Spaans getinte gerechten en wijnen
Conclusie: Praag is een heel mooie, interessante stad met veel bezienswaardige plekken en een goed sfeer. Het leuke centrum met veel terrassen, restaurants en de aangename prijzen hebben ons aangenaam verrast.

Reisdetails van Praag
Omschrijving:
Praag
Op 7 juni 2012 vertrok ik met een groep naar Praag met KLM. Vnaf de luchthaven is het een half uur naar het centrum van Praag waar we slapen in hotel Grand Majestic Plaza Prague, een goed 4 * hotel met op loopafstand winkels en bezienswaardigheden.
De dag van aankomst bezoeken we de 43 meter hoge Kruittoren, entree tot de oude stad en vroeger gebruikt als opslag van kruit. Verder het oude centrum met het stadhuis en de Tynkerk alsmede de Joodse wijk Josefov aan de noordzijde van het grote plein. De begraafplaats is imposant en is de oudste bestaande begraafplaats in Europa (1478-1786 totaal 100.000 mensen begraven) en ernaast ligt een museum en de Pinkas Synagoge waar de namen van 80.000 slachtoffers van de concentratiekampen staan genoteerd: indrukwekkend.
Verder natuurlijk een stop bij het stadsplein en de Astronomische klok, de bekendste plek van Praag. Elk uur openen de deuren zich en staan er rijen met mensen om het ritueel te aanschouwen.
We doen ook de Karelsbrug, nogal toeristisch met allerlei standjes vol prullaria met wel mooi zicht over de Moldau.
Op 8 juni gaan we naar de Praagse Burcht een groot paleizencomplex met Koninklijke tuinen. Daarnaast prachtig uitzicht over de stad en omgeving, omdat het hoog gelegen is.
De wisseling van de wacht is ook hier een spektakel. Het nabijgelegen Gouden Straatje met kleurrijke kleine huisjes en nu winkels is wel een must see.
Ook voor het uitzicht bezoeken we de Petrin toren die 60 meter hoog is en een kopie van de Eiffeltoren. Er is gelukkig een lift …
9 juni bezoeken we het centrum op eigen gelegenheid, de winkelstraten en het Wenceslasplein en het Dansen huis met een bijzondere bouwstijl .
Het aantal beelden in Praag is enorm, een van de bekendste is Pissing Man. Nader commentaar overbodig.
Op 10 juni vrije tijd, maar het regent dus de activiteiten zijn beperkt. Nog wat souvenirs inkopen, toch maar de Oude Raadhuistoren bezocht, ook hier mooi zicht op het centrum. daarna een van de vele terrassen op het plein aangedaan.
Omdat we ook vrije tijd hebben die wij zelf mogen invullen en niet alle maaltijden zijn inbegrepen, deze tips:
- restaurant La Boca, Truhlarska 1114 in de wijk Nove Mestro :een Zuid-Amerikaans restaurant met heerlijke Spaans getinte gerechten en wijnen
Conclusie: Praag is een heel mooie, interessante stad met veel bezienswaardige plekken en een goed sfeer. Het leuke centrum met veel terrassen, restaurants en de aangename prijzen hebben ons aangenaam verrast.

Reisdetails van Praag
Omschrijving:
Praag
Op 7 juni 2012 vertrok ik met een groep naar Praag met KLM. Vnaf de luchthaven is het een half uur naar het centrum van Praag waar we slapen in hotel Grand Majestic Plaza Prague, een goed 4 * hotel met op loopafstand winkels en bezienswaardigheden.
De dag van aankomst bezoeken we de 43 meter hoge Kruittoren, entree tot de oude stad en vroeger gebruikt als opslag van kruit. Verder het oude centrum met het stadhuis en de Tynkerk alsmede de Joodse wijk Josefov aan de noordzijde van het grote plein. De begraafplaats is imposant en is de oudste bestaande begraafplaats in Europa (1478-1786 totaal 100.000 mensen begraven) en ernaast ligt een museum en de Pinkas Synagoge waar de namen van 80.000 slachtoffers van de concentratiekampen staan genoteerd: indrukwekkend.
Verder natuurlijk een stop bij het stadsplein en de Astronomische klok, de bekendste plek van Praag. Elk uur openen de deuren zich en staan er rijen met mensen om het ritueel te aanschouwen.
We doen ook de Karelsbrug, nogal toeristisch met allerlei standjes vol prullaria met wel mooi zicht over de Moldau.
Op 8 juni gaan we naar de Praagse Burcht een groot paleizencomplex met Koninklijke tuinen. Daarnaast prachtig uitzicht over de stad en omgeving, omdat het hoog gelegen is.
De wisseling van de wacht is ook hier een spektakel. Het nabijgelegen Gouden Straatje met kleurrijke kleine huisjes en nu winkels is wel een must see.
Ook voor het uitzicht bezoeken we de Petrin toren die 60 meter hoog is en een kopie van de Eiffeltoren. Er is gelukkig een lift …
9 juni bezoeken we het centrum op eigen gelegenheid, de winkelstraten en het Wenceslasplein en het Dansen huis met een bijzondere bouwstijl .
Het aantal beelden in Praag is enorm, een van de bekendste is Pissing Man. Nader commentaar overbodig.
Op 10 juni vrije tijd, maar het regent dus de activiteiten zijn beperkt. Nog wat souvenirs inkopen, toch maar de Oude Raadhuistoren bezocht, ook hier mooi zicht op het centrum. daarna een van de vele terrassen op het plein aangedaan.
Omdat we ook vrije tijd hebben die wij zelf mogen invullen en niet alle maaltijden zijn inbegrepen, deze tips:
- restaurant La Boca, Truhlarska 1114 in de wijk Nove Mestro :een Zuid-Amerikaans restaurant met heerlijke Spaans getinte gerechten en wijnen
Conclusie: Praag is een heel mooie, interessante stad met veel bezienswaardige plekken en een goed sfeer. Het leuke centrum met veel terrassen, restaurants en de aangename prijzen hebben ons aangenaam verrast.

Zoals te doen gebruikelijk word mij vaak gevraagd “Waar ben je nú weer geweest?” Lang heb ik me ietwat schuldig gevoeld en voerde ik aan dat er toch vooral gewerkt werd tijdens een studiereis. Het is een w-e-r-k-r-e-i-s. Niets ingewikkeld, de een doet onderzoek in het Great Barrier Reef en mag tijdelijk op een tropisch eiland wonen, de ander bouwt huizen in Indonesië na de tsunami en ik bezoek bestemmingen en onderzoek hotels. Met tot doel bij geschiktheid dit over te brengen op de klanten en deze bestemming beter te kunnen verkopen. Zo simpel is dat. Kun je lekker gerecht niet het beste opdienen als je het eerst zelf een keer gemaakt en geproefd hebt, succes verzekerd!
Dus droomwerk, ja en nee. Natuurlijk zie ik veel van de wereld en krijg je soms een paar uurtjes tijd om zelf te genieten van die zonovergoten witte stranden. Maar er zijn toch vooral veel verplichtingen (hotels inspecteren, verplichte maaltijden en power point presentaties met managers). Je gaat vaak met een groep onbekende collega’s op stap en komt als gezellige vrienden uit de reiswereld terug. Dus met enthousiasme ga ik op de ingeslagen weg door. Zie mijn verslagen!

Op 7 juni 2012 vertrok ik met een groep naar Praag met KLM. Vnaf de luchthaven is het een half uur naar het centrum van Praag waar we slapen in hotel Grand Majestic Plaza Prague, een goed 4 * hotel met op loopafstand winkels en bezienswaardigheden.
De dag van aankomst bezoeken we de 43 meter hoge Kruittoren, entree tot de oude stad en vroeger gebruikt als opslag van kruit. Verder het oude centrum met het stadhuis en de Tynkerk alsmede de Joodse wijk Josefov aan de noordzijde van het grote plein. De begraafplaats is imposant en is de oudste bestaande begraafplaats in Europa (1478-1786 totaal 100.000 mensen begraven) en ernaast ligt een museum en de Pinkas Synagoge waar de namen van 80.000 slachtoffers van de concentratiekampen staan genoteerd: indrukwekkend.
Verder natuurlijk een stop bij het stadsplein en de Astronomische klok, de bekendste plek van Praag. Elk uur openen de deuren zich en staan er rijen met mensen om het ritueel te aanschouwen.
We doen ook de Karelsbrug, nogal toeristisch met allerlei standjes vol prullaria met wel mooi zicht over de Moldau.
Op 8 juni gaan we naar de Praagse Burcht een groot paleizencomplex met Koninklijke tuinen. Daarnaast prachtig uitzicht over de stad en omgeving, omdat het hoog gelegen is.
De wisseling van de wacht is ook hier een spektakel. Het nabijgelegen Gouden Straatje met kleurrijke kleine huisjes en nu winkels is wel een must see.
Ook voor het uitzicht bezoeken we de Petrin toren die 60 meter hoog is en een kopie van de Eiffeltoren. Er is gelukkig een lift …
9 juni bezoeken we het centrum op eigen gelegenheid, de winkelstraten en het Wenceslasplein en het Dansen huis met een bijzondere bouwstijl .
Het aantal beelden in Praag is enorm, een van de bekendste is Pissing Man. Nader commentaar overbodig.
Op 10 juni vrije tijd, maar het regent dus de activiteiten zijn beperkt. Nog wat souvenirs inkopen, toch maar de Oude Raadhuistoren bezocht, ook hier mooi zicht op het centrum. daarna een van de vele terrassen op het plein aangedaan.
Omdat we ook vrije tijd hebben die wij zelf mogen invullen en niet alle maaltijden zijn inbegrepen, deze tips:
- restaurant La Boca, Truhlarska 1114 in de wijk Nove Mestro :een Zuid-Amerikaans restaurant met heerlijke Spaans getinte gerechten en wijnen
Conclusie: Praag is een heel mooie, interessante stad met veel bezienswaardige plekken en een goed sfeer. Het leuke centrum met veel terrassen, restaurants en de aangename prijzen hebben ons aangenaam verrast.
